Work in progress - At the moment

In the heart of the Haut Var region, near the Gorges du Verdon, the BDC estate is a beautiful site that used to be completely abandoned. A second life has been given to this estate since 2008 with the planting of new vines on the finest exposure to the sun, complemented by olive trees. The first vintage was produced in 2012 with the creation of varietal red and white wines, which have met a resounding success. The planting program is going on with a strong desire to achieve a dominant Viognier varietal vine, which provides powerful wines, while maintaining a touch of freshness. In this estate, we can find a traditional cellar in concrete, working on reception by gravity. The rehabilitation works of this cellar have begun, respecting its traditional layout, in order to create a real gem and to improve the quality of the winemaking process. The concrete vats have been resized and adapted to fit the fragmented wine-making process.A barrel cellar and a wooden vessel will complement the traditional concrete vats and bring some depth to the structure of the future bottles. The cellar will be fully operational this summer, which with allow the production of the 2015 vintage directly on the production site.
